The rich Scandinavian display of ancient Gods, Vikings, witches, gnomes, trolls and fairies will be explored through drama, role playing, music and arts and crafts. The Scandinavian World has some exceptional children’s books and a wealth of folklore that inspire children’s imagination and sense of wonder while opening their minds to a different culture.
With the use of drama games, music, pictures, stories, arts and crafts the children will explore these different worlds, in an active and fun way through re-enactments and role-playing. The children will be active and have a lot of fun doing what children do best. PLAY! The classes are for all children no matter origin, as mythological creatures and fantasy worlds speak to the imagination of all children regardless.
Drama, in addition to the cultural aspect of the camp, has many benefits. Drama means doing and it stimulates imagination and creativity, its games enhances listening and team work skills, and builds confidence and personal development. Many introverted children usually come out of their shell and become more comfortable speaking and making decisions when practicing drama. Join the fun and enjoy some exercises in free thinking before school start.
